about

Pigs in the Bullring (Humans like Beasts) is a concept album of sorts. It explores the intertwining nature of human and animal behaviour through the retelling of stories, brought by the fascist ghost of Mussolini in my dreams of absent-minded transgression. It appeared to me that Mussolini had time to reflect on the wrongs of the world from a historical to current perspective and raised that all humans can behave like animals when power is held in their hands.

It also touches upon misogyny, pornography, astronomy, ancient pagan tribes and auto-erotic cannibalism.

about

Sweethearts of the Prison Rodeo Falkirk, UK

The Sweethearts of the Prison Rodeo provide a twisted blend of Americana by way of the Junction 5 of the M9. If The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Kurt Vile and Edwin Morgan had a bastard child then it would probably scream like the Sweethearts.

The Welcome EP was released in 2012 followed by the On the Desolate Hillside album in 2013. Their new album Pigs in the Bull Ring is out on the 6th of May
